Roman Flood Myth vs. The Epic of Gligamesh

In both The Roman flood myth and The Epic of Gilgamesh flood story God was angered by all humanity, in The Epic of Gilgamesh God was angry because the people were being too loud, in the Roman flood myth The God Jupiter was angry because of the evil ways of humanity. In both stories God decided to wipe out everyone on the earth so God sent a flood to kill everyone. In the Epic of Gilgamesh God warned a man name Utnapishtin to build a boat and save himself from the flood to come. In the Roman flood story the flood went every where on the earth except the summit of Parnassus where a man named Deucalion and his wife came by boat and found refuge. God Jupiter decided to let them live. In each flood myth one man and his wife were saved because God was being generous. I think these stories are so similar because since the Epic of Gilgamesh is the oldest story in existence it probably traveled by word of mouth from civilization to civilization including Rome where this flood story was written and in each civilization the story was changed and became the flood story of that
